Delivered’s customer experience is a world of change. When the parcel leaves a shipper’s dock, Delivered’s technology takes over. Through our sort centers, we put packages on the most efficient path to their destination through our network of middle and last-mile partners resulting in an incredible experience for the shipper and recipient. As a bonus, Delivered’s parcel orchestration process saves up to 70% on greenhouse as we utilize currently available capacity.  

Delivered started as a side project for the founder, Andrew Hurst. Spending nearly 20 years in the logistics industry, Andrew saw firsthand how the industry has changed along with people's purchasing habits. He saw his current customers facing capacity issues, transit delays, and substantial price increases from a few select incumbent carriers. The real problem was that this not only affected the e-retailers, but it also affected the consumer, the buyer… people like him. As a proven entrepreneur, he set out to fix the problem e-retailers face when connecting their customers with their physical products.  

Delivered is currently in the process of building our product for commercialization. With a successfully proven leadership team, Delivered is poised for high growth over the next two years as we rapidly expand our footprint across the US. With nearly 1M packages ready to move on Delivered, we are excited to start delivering for our customers.

We are seeking a motivated Robotics Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team for the summer of 2024. This position is ideal for students passionate about robotics and looking to apply their academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. You will work closely with our engineers on projects that influence our next generation of products.

Our project for summer 2024 is for you to build a robot powerhouse platform capable of light material handling in an industrial environment. If it can shoot flames for effect, that’s cool too!

 

Job Description

  • Assist in the design and development of robotic systems, including hardware and software components.

  • Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of robotic prototypes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and streamline performance.

  • Contribute to the documentation and reporting of project progress and outcomes.

  • Engage in research and implementation of new technologies to advance our robotics capabilities.

  • Delivers updates to senior leadership on effectiveness of company’s logistics efforts.

     

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB.

  • Experience operating in Linux.

  • Experience with robotics systems, including familiarity with sensors, actuators, and controllers.

  • Experience with Raspberry Pi or like type technology.

  • Skilled in the use of CAD software and robotics simulation tools.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to document and present work results.

  • Legally authorized to work in US.
